From The Editor
I wanted to continue talking about online interactive
meetings, because I believe it will save us all a lot
of time and energy.
So keep an open mind with our topics and determine
how online interactive meetings could help your
organization. For fun I put up a chat box at our
article on Chat Sites.
I ask that you keep your chat clean and responsible for others sake. Thanks.
Fundraising Article
Adding A Chat Site For Your Group
Computer-to-computer communication is available in
various forms. If your organization has a website,
it's easy to add chat capabilities.
Chat sites are great for small committees of 8 or less.
If you get any more than this, it starts to become a
bit cumbersome.
Start by placing your chat box on a page of your
website that the public does not have ready access.
Then send the link to your committee members in an
email just before the online meeting that you've
scheduled previously.

TimberWick Candle Company Fundraiser
We've locked onto another great candle fundraising
program. This time from the experts at TimberWick
Candle Company They are famous for their "gumdrop"
candles.
TimberWick candles feature an all-natural soy wax
base, cotton wicks, and strong, beautiful scents!
The genetic makeup of a soy candle product gives
you a very soft, creamy, and long lasting candle.
These soy candles have NO petroleum in them, so
you won't experience any of the black, sooty residue
that most other candles might give you. Soy wax
is more of a healthier candle than paraffin or
petroleum-based candles. They're safer too.
TimberWick also has a Spirit Fundraising program
that allows your group to get a special laser
engraved wooden lid for your candles. The lids
can be customized by laser engraving your school,
team, group name along with the mascot, name, or
logo.
The lids cost $3.00 each to engrave and will also
have a one time $50 set up charge.
The candle sales brochures will be provided to you
for free so it's easy to get started.
These are easy sells when you show your customers
the full color brochures?

Your Public Image
One of the most often overlooked areas of fundraising
is the "public image" of your organization. What do
I mean? Well, does the public see your organization
as one that is making a positive difference?
Another question: Do people even know you exist?
If not then it's time to pump up your PR efforts.
This should be done whether you are a Boy Scout
Troop, Ladies Missionary Union or a regional
association of a national organization.
Does the public at large or your community know
about all the good you are accomplishing? Increase
the good PR for your group and watch your donations
rise this year.
