Ticket Sales
Business Print Ticket
Get a corporation or business to print your tickets in exchange for 1/5 of the ticket being used for placing their logo or small ad on the ticket.
Offer Free Item
Offer a free item or gift. If after using the ticket to enter an event, the donor can redeem a free item offered and pick it up at your next event or office. This will get more involvement out of your donors.
Chance For Door Prize
Print a brief sentence explaining that each ticket buyer has a chance to win a door prize at the event. This will encourage the donor to attend the event and participate. Remember, greater participation among donors will pay big dividends over non-participation during the year.
Raffle Sales
Raffles are another way to utilize the ticket concept and raise funds. Make sure that selling these chances at a prize do not conflict with your state's rules on this. See more on the subject at our Raffle Ideas.section.
Ticket Receipts
As you contemplate giving receipts for the sale of tickets, consider deducting the fair market value of any item or service that they receive as a part of the ticket price. If a ticket to a hamburger dinner sells for $10, but the dinner would typically cost $4.00, then the contributor receives a receipt for tax purposes of $6.00. See more on Issuing Receipts here.
Business Coupons
Include 5 to 10 ad spots on a flyer for 5 to 10 businesses to place a "coupon" for a hot deal they are currently offering. Place these deals on a "coupon sheet" and give to your event attendees at your next big event. Charge $25, $50, $100 for each coupon advertisement depending on the size and offering of the coupon.
